Pick by the job, not the hype.
| Option | Good for | Keep in mind |
|---|---|---|
| Air-drying in loose sections | Everyday styles, when you have the time | Thick, bundled sections can stay damp. Leave room and time for air to get in. |
| The dryer you already own | Drying or diffusing with the right attachment | How you handle it, airflow, distance, heat and your kid’s tolerance all matter. |
| RevAir | Drying and stretching hair that’s already detangled | It doesn’t detangle, wash or guarantee no damage, and it doesn’t replace styling skills. |
| Dyson Supersonic | Premium regular drying, with attachments that vary by package | No proven advantage for toddlers. You don’t need it on top of a RevAir. |
| Dyson Airwrap / Airstrait | Different styling jobs and finishes | Not the same thing as a Supersonic or a reverse-air dryer. Read the exact model’s directions. |

Device only, or the bundle?
Compare the current listings. If the dryer inside is the same, extra clips, towels, bags and bottles don’t make it dry any better. Buy the bundle only if the extras fill real gaps at a good total price.
Before you order, check when the return window starts, any return fees and shipping, condition rules, where you’re buying from, the warranty, voltage, and which attachments come in the box. We don’t list prices here because they change.
With a child, introduce the tool first and do a short, comfortable test, only the way the manual allows. Don’t copy an adult’s tension setting. Keep it away from bath water, and stop for heat, pulling or fear.

Water and noise are two different problems.
| Need | Start here | Watch out |
|---|---|---|
| Dryer noise | Cut unneeded noise, and use well-fitting kids’ earmuffs when it helps. | Earmuffs need a good seal and supervision. They aren’t waterproof. Don’t turn a show up to compete. |
| Hating water on the face during rinses | Control where the water goes and how fast. Let them call pause. | A visor or washcloth is optional and won’t keep every drop off. |
| Keeping pool water out | Follow the swim-plug maker’s age, fit and supervision rules exactly. | Small plugs are a choking risk. Don’t push putty into the ear canal, and earmuffs aren’t a swim plan. |
| Ear pain, drainage, tubes, a perforation or ear surgery | Follow your child’s doctor’s water-care advice. | Don’t guess at an ear problem or swap the doctor’s plan for a store-bought fix. |
One earmuff option, if you want one
BANZ makes Kids 2+ earmuffs and a smaller Baby 0–2 model. The maker listed $34.99 when we checked on October 26, 2026. Fit matters more than brand. We haven’t confirmed a specific swim-plug pick yet.
Take care of the gear
Follow the model’s filter and cleaning instructions. Check cords, guards, attachments and clips. Damaged or questionable electrical gear isn’t a bargain.
Store tools unplugged, away from kids and water. A soft bonnet-dryer attachment doesn’t mean you can walk away. A scalp massager is optional; you don’t need one to clean the scalp or grow hair.

Maker distinguishes Baby 0–2 and Kids 2+ sizes. Actual fit and supervision matter. Noise earmuffs are not water protection.
