Potty trained in a long weekend

A calm, all-in 3–7 day bootcamp for a ready toddler. Run the readiness check, block a weekend, and follow the day-by-day plan — diapers off, confidence on.

Day 1 · Naked & AwareDays 2–3 · UndiesDays 4–7 · Locked in

Is she ready?

The bootcamp only works if her body is ready. Tap each one that's true — you'll get a quick read.

  • Stays dry 1.5–2 hours
  • Curious about the potty or toilet
  • Can pull pants up & down
  • Follows a simple direction
  • Hides or signals when going
  • Dislikes a dirty diaper

Six anchors, not nagging

Don't ask "do you need to go?" Tie the potty to moments she already has — every day, in order.

  1. After waking

    AM & naps

  2. After meals

    ~15–20 min

  3. Before bath

    warm = pee

  4. Before leaving

    "go before we go"

  5. Before nap & bed

    empty tank

  6. Early days

    every 1.5–2 hr

🗓️ When to start the rhythm: a gentle 2–3 anchor version suits 18–24 months — the full six-anchor rhythm is the 2–3 year sweet spot, right where this bootcamp lives.

One weekend, start to finish

Each day has one job. Follow them in order and the skill builds on itself.

  1. Start here

    Is she ready?

Run the 6-point check. A ready toddler makes this work — a forced one just learns to hold it. Not ready? Wait 2–4 weeks.

  2. Day 1

    Naked & Aware

Bare bottom at home, fluids up, offer the potty every 20–30 minutes, cue sound, and a big party for every catch.

  3. Days 2–3

    Undies & Cues

Cotton undies (commando), stretch the timer to 45–60 minutes, she starts telling you, and one short outing late on Day 3.

  4. Days 4–7

    Locking It In

Fade the reminders, do real outings, tackle poop with footstool posture, and make the move to the big toilet.

  5. Every day

    The Daily Rhythm

Anchor sits to waking, meals, bath, leaving and bed. Stop asking “do you need to go?” — anchor it to the routine instead.

  6. Back to life

    Daycare Handoff

Same cue words at home and daycare. A prep checklist for you and a quick hand-over card for her teachers keep it consistent.

What "trained by day 7" really means

So you celebrate the right wins and stay calm through the rest.

What it is

  • Daytime pees mostly in the potty
  • Far fewer accidents each day
  • She starts telling you she needs to go
  • A real foundation you build on for weeks

What it isn't

  • Zero accidents — those are part of learning
  • Poop mastered for every kid in week one
  • Dry nights — that's body-led and comes later
  • A reason to shame or rush. Ever.
